Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known as the character the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she received the Emmy Award. Delaney was portrayed as a young innocent in 1981's soap opera All My Children. The career of Delaney has been filled with numerous television films and dramas. Similar to her profession but her personal life hasn't been a success or happy one. The accomplished actress battled the effects of alcohol and two marriages that failed. In 2005, she was denied the custody of her son.
